Courtney Bent is an award winning photographer now based in Durham, New Hampshire. She specializes in documentary and portrait photography with a passion for photographing behind the scenes.

Courtney is the founder and director of Picture This, an award winning photography workshop for individuals with Cerebral Palsy and other physical disabilities (visit Picture This in the Video section).

Courtney most recently travelled to East Africa as the photographer for Globalearn.com, an educational web site that aims to bring the world into the classroom.

In 1997-8, Courtney was the project assistant for a book about Death Row. For this project, Courtney researched, gained access to, and intereviewed Death Row inmates for the final chapters of the book, Final Exposure:Portraits From Death Row.

In the last few years, Courtney has focused much of her work on producing and directing documentary films (see video productions) and continues to teach at the Charles River Creative Arts Program, one of the countries leading arts program for children.
